There’s a chance that your copy of Microsoft Office came with a note-taking application called OneNote.  You should find it in your list of programs in the Start menu (typically in a subfolder called Microsoft Office) if it is installed.


This tool is comparable to the uber-popular and free Evernote, and has many similar synchronization and multi-platform options.  In the Microsoft Office world, though, this tool is much more robust and integrates seamlessly with Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
